Our Crafty Christians lend their talents to produce hand-crafted items to be distributed as loving gifts or to raise funds for various charities and ministries.
The Caring Team works to maintain our connection to members who cannot attend regularly or need special assistance. Team members deliver meals, provide transportation for doctors appointments or to church, visit folks in nursing homes, and many other acts of Christian kindness.
The First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville has a long history of music enhancing our worship services — focusing us, uplifting us, and showing us the face of God.
The Chancel Choir sings at the 10:00 am Sunday worship services from September thru June, and for occasional special seasonal worship services. The choir typically practices Thursday nights from 7:00-8:15PM in the sanctuary. All are welcome!
We also host an annual Christmas Community Concert.

Prayers & Squares Ministry
Since we started our Prayers & Squares Ministry in April 2007, we have been very busy. We have given away about 60 quilts to our family and friends in need of prayers and comfort. Plus, we have given about 10 Baptism quilt squares to those who welcomed new babies into their families.
We would like to see new faces at the table working with us to create these much needed and appreciated prayer quilts. You don’t have to be an experienced quilter. There are aspects of quilt-making that you can help with. We usually meet once a month for about two hours, but we are flexible so that we can try to accommodate everyone’s schedule. And… we have a good time.
Please contact Pat Klose-Hammond (765-4206) or the church office (765-2895) for details. Please either contact Pat Klose-Hammond (765-4206) or the church office (765-2895) with your preferred day and time. Then, we can set up a time that works.
College Student Care Packages
We send out care packages of food, and supplies to college-age kids who are attending college and are away living on campus. (We include some silly surprises in the packages as well.)
