Meet the Staff

Quincie Yamin is originally from Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a bachelor’s in Communication Studies, Spanish and a minor in International Studies. She attended graduate school at Duke Divinity school and graduated with a Master of Divinity. Quincie moved to Voorheesville, NY the summer of 2021 following her marriage to Mathew Yamin, FUMCV associate pastor. She is passionate about social justice, youth ministry, and fostering community.

Taylor Philippi serves as the Director of Kids and Young Adults at the First United Methodist Church of Voorheesville. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministries and a Master's in Human Services Counseling, Taylor brings over a decade of invaluable experience from private faith-based education to his role. His passion is evident in his dedication to nurturing children, youth, and young adults, guiding them towards a deeper knowledge of God and a genuine love for others. Residing in Troy with his partner, Whitney, Taylor is honored and enthusiastic about being a part of FUMCV.

Allison Moser is from Guilderland, New York. She will be graduating from the College of Saint Rose this spring with her bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education and Special Education. Allison is passionate about helping and advocating for those who are unable to advocate for themselves. Allison’s favorite thing to do is be outside with her family.

Roberta has years of experience that she brings to the table. Her core competencies include excellent communication skills via direct contact and written correspondence and has a desire to help our church flourish!

Lisa is our bookkeeper/treasurer. She comes to us with exceptional professional experience that has been invaluable to the ministry we do everyday!

Lenna is a church musician with over 17 years of experience as an organist/pianist/choir director. She has been the Music Director at many Protestant churches, most recently as Music Director at St. John's Lutheran Church, before she relocated from downstate New York to the Capital Region.
